Major works of art strengthen the architecture to provide an inspiring experience for patients, family and staff. Schickel Design Company worked closely with hospital leadership and the architect to bring a dynamic approach to this facility. Combined artistic voices of figurative realism and abstraction speak of TriHealth values and evoke a sense of comfort and joy. Water as a healing element is expressed through the building and site, appearing abstractly in stained glass in the entry atrium, in a large painted mural showing the biblical story of the healing at Bethesda, and finally in a beautiful natural pool visible through a glass curtain wall at the back of the building.
