Built circa 1860, the 3-story building in the historic Over the Rhine district had been abandoned for many years when purchased in 2004. Careful design and renovation have rehabilitated the run-down structure to create three open, bright and functional spaces. The load-bearing wall was replaced with beams to level the structure, space was opened up, an interior stairwell was added and the roof was raised to permit access to the new roof garden. The once dilapitated building now features a 1½ - floor penthouse apartment with roof garden, a 2nd floor apartment, and houses the Schickel Design Company studio on the first floor.
