The McIntosh House
Loveland, OH
Architecture, Stained Glass
“People say that building a home is one of the worst things in the world… on the contrary, this has been an amazing experience working with Schickel Design.”
Kay Bolin & Tim O’Grady / Home Owners
Loveland, Ohio
The McIntosh House sits on the footprint of the previous structure, which was owned by Claire McIntosh who had raised seven children in her modestly sized home. Attempts were made to save the old structure but due to flood plain regulations the new owners had to demolish and build new. Inside the 1,400 square foot house, the lower level is one room with a spiral staircase and a stained glass window that stretches from floor to eave. The back of the house is filled with large windows with views overlooking the O’Bannon Creek.
