FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Schickel Design Company has signed a Letter of Agreement with Bishop Thomas G. Wenski of the Diocese of Orlando, Florida to develop an Architectural Arts program for the new diocesan offices there. The Orlando Diocese has purchased a former Post Office building for renovation, and Schickel Company is excited to bring their vision of Art in Public Spaces to the project.

“Our goal is to work with the Diocese of Orlando to create a fresh, attractive artistic expression of its work and its vision, as well as its history in the life and development of the region” says Martha S. Dorff, AIA, president of Schickel Design Company. She will be traveling to Orlando and working closely with representatives of the Diocese. Dorff has successfully employed many media including works of art, photography, stained glass, text, light and water in previous projects. She will use her expertise to integrate the vision and values of the Diocese into the experience of staff and visitors who use the public spaces of the diocesan offices.

Schickel Design Company builds value through design excellence. This second-generation family company specializes in the integration of art and architecture. Their work can be seen locally at several locations, including “Main Street” at Good Samaritan Hospital, Chapel of The Holy Child at Children’s Hospital, and Chapel of Mercy at the corporate headquarters of Mercy Health Partners in Blue Ash.
