We look forward to the next phase of our home project, and we are certain Schickel Design will be who we call.

“When we decided we were ready to undertake some major home renovations, we had no idea where to begin. Fortunately, we found Schickel. From the first meeting, we knew we could trust them with our project. They wanted to hear our current issues and how we hoped any updates would improve our family’s quality of life. Then they guided us through the entire process, leaving us plenty of room for choice and personalization, but maintaining a constant and proactive presence throughout. We look forward to the next phase of our home project and are certain Schickel will be who we call.” – Brian and Amanda Derico

The ideas that Rebecca and her team brought to the table were creative, refreshing, and transformative for our home and our lifestyle in it... They were delightful to work with, from planning to execution.  We could not be happier with the final product.

“Rebecca Cadena and the team at Schickel Design guided the process of renovating our home to accommodate our aging mother.  The ideas that Rebecca and her team brought to the table were creative, refreshing, and transformative for our home and our lifestyle in it.  They listened, provided options, and opened our minds to new ideas that we never could have generated.  They then managed the design-build process with efficiency and care.   They were delightful to work with, from planning to execution.  We could not be happier with the final product.” - Dan and Maureen Teller

The Schickel Design process and resulting design were amazing... It’s been an exhilarating and pleasurable time working with Rebecca and Martha.

“Our church is a landmark anchor in Walnut Hills.  The most recent additions to the building were completed in 1928.  The facility has been well maintained and retains its beauty and historical significance.  Our existing layout does not properly serve the needs of our current congregation, or the community we live in.  After surveying our congregation and identifying many of our needs, we sought multiple architectural bids.  We chose Schickel Design to lead us through their process to support the present and future needs of our parish and the Walnut Hills community at large. The Schickel Design process and resulting design were amazing.  The design offers the welcoming, bright space, both inside and outside the building, that we hoped to see.  The new layout honors the historical elements of the structure while offering the functionality, accessibility and openness of a modern design.  The new concept allows for traditional worship, more contemporary worship and general community gatherings in a highly flexible space. It's been an exhilarating and pleasurable time working with Rebecca and Martha.  Although we haven't yet moved forward on the construction phase, we believe we now have a template for the future that will serve us well.” - Tom Cunningham

“The Church of the Advent was very pleased with the process Schickel Design used to work with our church team. Schickel Design came up with a beautiful plan that would create a more user friendly and flexible space for worship and all the other ways our building is used, both inside and outside. Included in the design was making our bathroom facilities more accessible for people with physical disabilities. I believe the design would help Advent continue to be a central gathering place for the various groups in our neighborhood that want to use Advent for presentations, concerts, events, and various neighborhood ministries.“ -Rev. Stacy Salles

We will treasure these beautiful and artistic pieces for years to come.

“Rebecca was easy to work with and was very responsive to our needs. She helped us to think outside the box and presented several creative and innovative options for us to choose from. We are so happy that our space has been made more flexible and that the opportunities for ministry and events inside our building have been increased exponentially. The completed altar furniture is breathtaking and is even better than we had imagined. The eye for detail and the responsiveness to suggestions and tweaks to the design made this a fruitful working partnership. We will treasure these beautiful and artistic pieces for years to come.”  - Rev. Matt Byrd, Christ the King Lutheran Church

The Schickel team provided excellent creative design and fabrication of art ... Becca and Martha employed an excellent process to truly capture what we wanted.

"The Schickel team provided excellent creative design and fabrication of art that conveyed the messaging elements needed to achieve the emotional appeal for children's programming space that CABVI was developing.  They exceeded our expectations and ensured that the final product met our needs. Becca and Martha employed an excellent process to truly capture what we wanted.  Working with them was a great experience." - John Mitchell

“Schickel Design partnered with Price Hill Will to bring back a longtime singular source for fresh food in Lower Price Hill. Price Hill Will bought the small collection of buildings from a retiring second generation owner with the goal of seeking out a new tenant who could once again be a resource for fresh, healthy food in one of the city’s food deserts. Schickel’s keen knowledge of complex older buildings and the latest applicable building codes was an invaluable asset to the project team. Their enthusiasm and promptness, coupled with creative problem solving, helped to transform a worn and outdated building into a simplified and flexible new environment for both a food market and adjacent community activities’ space. Martha and Becca were a pleasure to work with throughout the process, and all of their efforts on behalf of Price Hill Will, the new tenant, and the Lower Price Hill community are very much appreciated!”  - Jay Kratz
